President, Physician Integration
In July 2011, Edward Sim was named President, Physician Integration,
where his role is to lead Baptist Health in developing closely aligned
relationships with physicians. Prior to his promotion, Edward Sim served
as Hospital President of Baptist Medical Center Beaches (Baptist
Beaches) from 2009 to 2011. Previously, he served as Vice President,
Operations, at Baptist Downtown, where he was responsible for several
hospital departments, including Imaging, Pharmacy, Laboratory,
Pulmonology, Rehabilitation, Endoscopy, Baptist Cancer Institute, and
Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute.
Before joining Baptist Health, Sim served as Chief Business Development
Officer and Associate Administrator at North Fulton Regional Hospital in
Sim received his bachelor's degree in economics from Boston University,
his Master of Science degree from Albany Medical College, and his Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in health sector
management, from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
Sim is an active community volunteer, currently serving on the Boards of
WeCare Jacksonville and the NonProfit Center of Northeast Florida. He
has also been affiliated with organizations such as Big Brothers Big
Sisters, WJCT and the American Cancer Society. Sim chaired Baptist
Health's 2008 United Way Campaign and is a member of Leadership
Jacksonville's Class of 2007.
