Job Summary

We are looking for a Assistant Nurse Manager for our Pediatric Hematology/Oncology team at Wolfson Children's Hospital. This is a full-time day shift position. This unit is responsible for caring for all diagnosis of childhood cancer as well as bone marrow transplants, Car-T cell infusion, MIBG infusions, sickle cell care, newly diagnosed diabetics, orthopedic surgeries, and trauma patients. As a Registered Nurse for Wolfson Children's Hospital your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Nurse Manager with unit/area operations.
  • Works closely with the direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care.
  • Facilitates the admission, transfer and discharge flow.
  • Takes a lead role in implementing changes.
  • Supports and coaches staff development.
  • Makes shift to shift patient care assignments.
  • Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed.
  • PALS certification will be required for this unit (after hired).

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • 2-3 years Pediatric Hospital Direct Care Experience
  • 1-2 years Leadership Experience

License and Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
