Cardiac Echo Sonographer, Diagnostic Cardiology, Full-time, Baptist Nassau

Baptist Health is looking to add a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to our Diagnostic Cardiology Department at Baptist Nassau. This is a Full-Time, day shift opportunity of either 5 8-hour shifts or 4 10-hour shifts with call every 4th week. This Cardiac Echo Sonographer will perform diagnostic echocardiograms on patients to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease using Cardiac Ultrasound techniques. This Cardiac Echo Sonographer will help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients. This Cardiac Echo Sonographer will operate ultrasound equipment that provides moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and its chambers. This Cardiac Echo Sonographer will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and a commitment to patient care and safety. This position may require standing or sitting for extended periods of time and may require occasional lifting of equipment or patients.

As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

• Providing diagnostic examinations of the heart using Ultrasound techniques.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Reviewing and recording cases.
• Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images
• Providing as needed back up to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department.
• Assist the working physicians to diagnose heart problems in patients.

• 1-2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography Experience

License and Certification

• Adult Echo Credentials through either ARDMS or CCI within 18 months of hire Required
• Adult Echocardiography (AE) (ARDMS-RDCS) Preferred Or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Preferred Or
