Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Cardiovascular Technologist to our Cath Lab team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a Full-time, day shift opportunity. This Cardiovascular Technologist will work Monday through Friday. This Cardiovascular Technologist will participate in call. This Cardiovascular Technologist will perform technical duties such as scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring. The RCIS must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

As an Invasive Cardiology Technologist you will be responsible for: 

• Prepares Cath Lab for acceptance of cardiac patients.
• Performs technical duties including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring and recording of diagnostic and interventional procedures (cardiac cath, PTCA, stent, atherectomy, peripherals.)
• Performs technical duties such as scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring/recording for EP procedures, RF ablations and pacemakers/ICDs.
• Assists with monitoring and care of patient as directed.
• License/Certification Note: A Radiology Tech License or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography ARRT (CI) is required.

• Less than 1 year Cath Laboratory Experience
• Experience working at another hospital

License and Certification

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography ARRT (CI) Required Or
• Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required Or
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required Or
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required Or
