Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist to our Heart Center at Baptist Jacksonville located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-time, day shift opportunity.  This position does require call. This Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging and procedures. These images and procedures include tests on pulmonary and/or cardiovascular systems of patients for diagnostic purposes. This Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist may also conduct or assist in electrocardiograms, catherizations, pulmonary functions, and lung capacities. This Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist performs these procedures in assistance to diagnose and treat heart conditions. 

Credential requirement: RCIS must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Cert Req: RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) is an acceptable certification for BSP0259 only.

As a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist you will be responsible for: 

  • Prepares Cath Lab for acceptance of cardiac patients.
  • Performs technical duties including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring and recording of diagnostic and interventional procedures (cardiac cath, PTCA, stent, atherectomy, peripherals.)
  • Performs technical duties such as scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring/recording for EP procedures, RF ablations and pacemakers/ICDs.
  • Assists with monitoring and care of patient as directed.
  • License/Certification Note: A Radiology Tech License or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography ARRT (CI) is required.

  • Less than 1 year Cath Laboratory Experience
  • Experience working at another hospital

License and Certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography ARRT (CI) Required Or
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required Or
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Required Or
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required Or
