Wolfson Children's Hospital is looking is currently hiring for a Child Life Specialist to our Family Support Services Department in Jackosnville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity at our downtown campus.
This is a PRN opportunity that will cover all units as needed by the department. The completion of an internship under the direct supervision of a certified child life specialist required to apply and CCLS certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

Child Life Specialist, Wolfson's Children Hospital, Job Responsibilties:
- Provide therapeutic activities to normalize the hospital environment for patients and their families.
- Provides pre/post teachings.
- Emotional/psychosocial support, distraction, and support during procedures.
- Age appropriate medical play to enhance understanding of the hospital environment.
- Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to create and support care plans that meet the needs of the patients and families.

- 1-2 Years Experience Working with Sick Children (Preferred)
- Experience working in a Hospital Setting (Preferred)
- Experience working in Pediatrics (Preferred)
- Experience working in Inpatient Setting (Preferred)
License and Certification
- Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) Required
- Completion of Internship Under Supervision of Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
