Job Summary

We are looking for a Hospital Housekeeper to join our Baptist Clay, Environmental Services team. This position is a part-time, day shifts opportunity with weekday hours of 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, and with rotating weekends, weekend hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and rotating holidays. The Hospital Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Shift Details:

Hospital Housekeeper General Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Technician position maintains a clean environment throughout the medical center by routine and discharge cleaning assigned areas.
  • Performing basic cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
  • Maintaining assigned equipment for cleanliness and recommends repairs as needed.
  • Performing all other tasks which may be assigned.

Baptist Health is proud to utilize state of the art UV Disinfection Technology via UV Robotic Machines. These machines break down the DNA of germs in the hospital environment before manual cleaning of an area is performed, keeping our team members and patients better protected.

Location Overview

Baptist Clay Medical Campus

Baptist Clay Medical Campus is located on 32 acres at U.S. 17 and Village Square Parkway on Fleming Island.  The facility opened in May 2013 to bring the high-quality care of Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Health to residents of Clay County.  The Baptist/Wolfson Children’s Emergency Center, which is open 24 hours a day, has 16 treatment rooms, a separate waiting room for children, child-specific medical equipment and imaging capabilities, a LifeFlight helipad and an on-site ambulance. Pediatric emergency medicine physicians affiliated with Wolfson Children’s Hospital are also available during peak hours daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The campus’s three-story Medical Office Building also houses the Wolfson Children’s Specialty Center on the first floor. The Medical Office Building has primary care and specialist physicians’ offices that are open throughout the year, providing Clay County families with a “one-stop” destination for a wide array of care.
