We’re hiring for a Medical Assistant II at Baptist Primary Care Roosevelt in Jacksonville, Florida. 


This position is for Baptist Primary Care Roosevelt. The office currently has 3 providers. The candidate’s responsibilities will include ordering medical supplies, tracking vaccination and making sure rooms are stocked. This is a back-office position, working with 1 provider. Leadership ability is a must. Experience with injections and vaccinations is a plus.


The shift is Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm but is subject to change to 8:00am-5:00pm.


As a Medical Assistant II, you will be responsible for:

  • Provides nursing assistance to physicians
  • Obtains vital signs
  • Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
  • Telephone triage
  • Patient education
  • Maintains medical documentation
  • Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
  • Processes CLIA waived tests, prescription requests and referrals
  • Cross train in front office, referrals and other areas (E.G.FP and Peds).

Experience

  • Over 5 years Patient Care Experience
  • Less than 1 year Experience in Physician's office

License and Certification

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
