Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our Laboratory department at Baptist Medical Center. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity.

As a Medical Laboratory Assistant you will be responsible for: 

  • Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties associated with the pre- and post-analytical handling of laboratory specimens and results.
  • Communicates laboratory results and responds to specimen-related questions from physicians and various other caregivers.
  • Collects blood specimens for routine and special laboratory procedures.
  • Utilizes computer functions.

The hours for this position are: 8:45 am to 5:15 pm Monday through Friday, including Holiday and weekend rotation.

Education Required

High School Diploma/GED

Education Preferred

Associate's Degree


  • Three to Five Years Phlebotomy Experience

License and Certification

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician Preferred
