Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory Services department at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a full-time, evenings opportunity with working hours of 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. This shift will also include weekend and holiday rotations. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida before hire. 

Baptist South is serving the rapidly growing neighborhoods in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties. The hospital blends resort-like amenities with the most advanced medical care, providing for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of patients and their families.

As a Medical Technologist you will be responsible for: 

• Maintaining expertise and perform technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections.
• Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals.
• Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
• Instructing new employees and students.
• Working with Director and Section Supervisors, however, candidate can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision.
