Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Medical Technologist to join our Emergency Department at Baptist Emergency Department Oakleaf. This is a part time, evening shift opportunity, working Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM - 9:30 AM. This Medical Technologist will be supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors, however, they can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida and have atleast two years of experience as a Medical Technologist. 


As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining the expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in one or more laboratory sections
  • Maintaining records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manuals
  • Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
  • Instructing new employees, MT, and MLT students.

  • 2 years Medical Technologist Experience

License and Certification

  • Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technician Required Or
