We are looking for an Oncology Resource Registered Nurse Registered Nurses (ORN) to join our Adult Surgical Oncology Progressive Care team at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL.  This unit typically has a 4:1 nurse to patient ratio and provides care to post-surgical oncology patients who require advanced care. As an Oncology Resource Registered Nurse for the Adult Surgical Oncology PCU, you will:

  • Assess learning needs of oncology staff, patient/staff rounding,
  • Assist with discharge chemotherapy teaching
  • Work with Oncology Educator & Nurse Managers to coordinate preceptorship and new hire orientation
  • Coordinate resource library, provide monthly journal clubs
  • Hands on resource for oncology team & the administration of chemo/biotherapy
  • Maintain HealthStream education programs for Oncology.

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

  • Over 5 years Oncology Nursing Experience Required
  • 2 years Leadership Experience Required
  • Customer Service Experience Required
  • Hospital Experience

License and Certification

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required
