Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Radiology Technologist in our Special Procedures Department at Baptist South located in Jacksonville, FL. The primary responsibility of our Radiology Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. This is a PRN, days opportunity. 

The Radiology Technologist in Special Procedures will  have specialization in radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional and angiographic procedures.

This Radiology Technologist (Special Procedures) Responsibilities include: 

• Performs high quality radiographic images.
• Functions as a member of a team performing interventional procedures.
• Working under sterile conditions, very similar to OR.
• Promoting good will amon co-workers and other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients.
• Complying with mandatory education and health requirements.
• Participating in on-call coverage
• Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy.

• Customer Service Experience
• Experience working in a hospital setting
• Experience with vascular imaging procedures
• Experience performing special interventional procedures

License and Certification

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
• Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required
