Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room Experience to join our outpatient orthopedic setting a Jacksonville Orthopedic Institue. This is a fast-paced unit with four operating rooms. The department usually treats 20-25 cases per day.

This is a full time opportunity, 40 hours per week. This position does not require nights, weekend, or call.

As an Operating Room RN, you will be responsible for:

• Providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization;
• Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
• Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
• Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
• Coordinating and preparing assigned operating room/case
• Assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case

Education Required

Associate's Degree - Nursing

Education Preferred

Bachelor's Degree - Nursing

Experience

• 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
