Job Summary
We are looking for Registered Nurses (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery Recovery Postpartum team in Fleming Island FL. This is a PRN night shift position in our Labor and Delivery and Maternal Newborn unit at Baptist Medical Center Clay.
- Provide for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement
- Organize and supervision care provided by supportive personnel
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing and individualized plan of care
- Serve as the patient advocate and responsible for nursing care in labor and delivery newborn nursery and postpartum units including, but not limited to, caring for the antepartum patient, high risk postpartum patient and the mother/baby couplet

Education Required
Associate's Degree - Nursing
Education Preferred
Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
Experience
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Less than 1 year Newborn Nursery Experience
- Less than 1 year Mother/Baby Nursing Experience
License and Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Registered Nurse Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (RNC EFM) Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
