Job Summary
Baptist Medical Center Clay is currently looking to add an experienced Oncology Pharmacy Technician in our Pharmacy department at our Baptist Clay Infusion Center. This is a Full-time, Day shift opportunity working 7:30am - 4:30pm. This technician must be highly detailed and hard working while being able to prioritze and manage their own workload and schedule. This technician will work independently with a small team of one pharmacy technician and one pharmacist. This technician will be responsible for compounding all chemotherapy and infusion drugs for Baptist MD Anderson. This technician will be maximizing their licensure and working at the highest level within a Pharmacy Technician profession. In addition to the duties of a pharmacy technician, this position requires competency in IV admixture and chemotherapy preparation (USP 797 and USP 800) while working under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Purchasing and inventory management for oncology infusion pharmacy areas will also be required. Florida licensure for Pharmacy Technician is also required.
As an Oncology Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Pharmacist on duty.
- Compounding of IV admixtures.
- Filling of automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes.
- Basic reconstitution of oral suspensions.
- Packaging of medications.
- All activities will be under the supervision of a Florida-licensed Pharmacist.
