Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is currently looking to add a Seizure Long-Term Monitoring Technologist to our Baptist Neurology Group, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time, night shift opportunity. No call required!

As a Seizure Long-Term Monitoring Technologist, you will be responsible for: 

  • Provides a 24-hour visual monitoring, and subsequent intervention when indicated, of seizure patients in the Neuro ICU and EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit).
  • Maintains components of the monitoring system and communicates with staff and members of the Comprehensive Epilepsy team assigned to a patient regarding the patient's seizure status.
  • Monitoring in-patient Video EEG for an uninterrupted, clean recording.
  • Maintains expertise in clinical and electrical seizure identification, management and documentation.
  • Reports to the Baptist Neurology Neurodiagnostic Manager and is a member of the multidisciplinary team caring for patients with epilepsy.

Experience

  • 1-2 years LTM/EEG Monitoring Required

License and Certification

  • Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) Required
  • Registered in Continuous Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) Preferred
