Job Summary

The Senior Coordinator for Baptist Health Business Development is responsible for providing diversified support to the Business Development department as a key member of the system wide team dedicated to organizational growth. In alignment with strategic objectives and identified needs, the Senior Coordinator is focused on designing and implementing the full spectrum of logistics required to support business development strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and POSITION ASPECTS:

Process and Information Management   

  • Develops and maintains strong working knowledge of the Baptist Health system to effectively aid in supporting business growth
  • Performs project management responsibilities for departmental initiatives including technology and platform overhaul, acquisition, design and development, event planning and logistical needs
  • Coordinates closely with the respective business development specialists, department manager and department director to provide effective, timely support including but not limited to the following:
    • Detailed and accurate analytics and database management related to organizational and departmental performance, finances and success metrics
    • Comprehensive event planning coordination and support for both large-scale and small-scale highly visible events involving critical high-level stakeholders including senior executive administrative and physician leadership and board members
    • Customer enrollment tactics and engagement initiatives
    • Inventory management of collateral and marketing materials for business development daily use as well as special events including CME programming, symposiums and special events
    • Managing and providing rapid triage and response support to various departmental intake points including multiple departmental email inboxes, telephone hotlines and web requests
  • Reconciles, coordinates and maintains business development calendar of events
  • Identifies, recommends and implements effective improvements to processes
  • Processes incoming invoices and expense statements including auditing for accuracy, supporting documentation, coding appropriately and obtaining approval from director for AP processing

 

Department and Process Development

  • Identify, recommend and implement effective improvements to processes
  • Conduct research in an effective and productive manner using reliable sources and appropriate mechanisms
  • Develops and maintains strong working knowledge of the Baptist Health system, the regional physician community and the competitive landscape to effectively aid in relationship development and cultivation
  • Conducts office calls, as needed at the direction of the department director and department manager, to advance and support key growth strategies and achieve goal attainment
  • Develops and maintains an appropriate level of expertise to act as a super-user for results retrieval and electronic ordering systems
    • Manages and performs customer enrollment with complicated multi-dimensional systems and a matrix of different departments, leadership, requirements and functionality
    • Conducts field-based training functions with customers across a six county regional geography in collaboration with the respective relationship manager in business development
  • Conducts market research and business analytics in an effective and productive manner using reliable sources and appropriate mechanisms
  • Act as a qualified secondary point of contact for customers during the absence of a member of the business development team. This includes triaging and gathering relevant information and relaying this information to the appropriate leadership or team member in an expedient manner for resolution. In some cases, the coordinator will need to effectively respond to the customer’s needs directly.
  • Attends business development team meetings and contributes to department goals by supporting and informing strategy to advance efforts
  • Surface both internal and external factors that inhibit growth efforts
  • Aid in the production and dissemination of external departmental communications to customers. This includes serving as the central point for gathering pertinent information from each respective specialist, drafting and formatting communications in collaboration with the communications coordinator, and managing the subsequent digital distribution to the appropriate target lists

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience
    • Strongly prefer a minimum of two years of progressive healthcare and coordination leadership experience in a multi-site organization
    • Previous experience in a coordinator or multi-faceted role preferred with specific knowledge spanning a multitude of service lines and the broader medical/physician community
