October 16, 2014 | Jacksonville, FL
Baptist Health’s AgeWell Institute will host “Sorting out the 3 Ds – Depression, Delirium and Dementia,” on Nov. 8 from 8 am – 3 pm at the University of North Florida’s University Center. The conference is ideally suited for those who provide informal caregiving to older adults.
The keynote speaker is William H. Thomas, an international authority on geriatric medicine and eldercare from Ithaca, New York. Local experts on geriatrics will provide information about the differences between depression, delirium and dementia and how to best care for older adults with these conditions. The conference will also feature displays and information from health-related community organizations and services provided by Baptist Health and the AgeWell Institute.
