Baptist Medical Center Nassau renovating and expanding its Emergency Department
November 6, 2013 | Jacksonville, FL
Baptist Medical Center Nassau has started work on an expansion and renovation of its Emergency Department.
The Emergency Department will remain open 24 hours a day during construction and the project is expected to be finished next spring.
The project will add new finishes and in-room computing in every treatment room. By reconfiguring spaces, Baptist Nassau will add two more treatment rooms to better serve the community.
“We are continuously looking for ways to add services and make our facilities more accessible to provide high-quality care to our community,” said Stephen Lee, president of Baptist Nassau. “This expansion is another example of our Baptist Nassau changing health care for good in Nassau County.”
Baptist Nassau is also in the midst of building a new medical office building on campus that is set to open in June. Baptist Health leaders committed to spend at least $20 million in capital improvements when they purchased in the hospital in 1994 and have now nearly tripled that pledge.
