Elizabeth Gunn named vice president of Patient Services for Baptist Medical Center South

Elizabeth Gunn, MSN, RN, is joining Baptist Medical Center South as vice president of Patient Services. She comes to Baptist South from Southeast Georgia Health System, where she served as vice president of Patient Services. In this position, Gunn oversaw nursing practice for the entire health system, including its two hospitals in Brunswick and St. Marys, Ga.
“Elizabeth has an extensive nursing background, including leadership roles in emergency services, intensive care, education and nursing practice,” said Baptist South Hospital President Ron Robinson. “She is a great cultural fit for our organization.”
Gunn has more than 26 years of health care experience. She has also worked at Florida Hospital Orlando, where she was director of the Emergency Department and the Emergency Psychiatric Clinical Decision Unit, as well as in a variety of nursing leadership positions at hospitals in Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing Administration and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso.
