Society of Radiologic Technologists has awarded life membership to Baptist Health’s Ginger S. Griffin. She is the 25th ASRT member elevated to life member status since the group’s inception in 1938. A veteran employee with nearly 50 years of experience at Baptist, Griffin works in compliance and accreditation. She graduated from Baptist’s School of Radiologic Technology in 1966 and immediately began working at Baptist as staff technologist. She says her colleagues are like family. “I’m honored to be elevated to an ASRT life member, but I could not have done it without the support of my Baptist Health family,” said Griffin. In addition to her job at Baptist Health, Griffin serves as an on-call adjunct faculty member for the radiologic technology program at Florida State College of Jacksonville. She also is a key member of the advisory committee for the radiologic technology program. An ASRT member since 1966, Griffin has served on several boards, committees and task forces, including the Board of Directors and House of Delegates. She served as president of the Florida Society of Radiologic Technologists, which awarded her life member status in 1990. She is also a life member of the Jacksonville Society of Radiologic Technologists and an honorary life member of the Missouri Society of Radiologic Technologists. ASRT members will honor Griffin at a reception during the annual governance meeting in Orlando on June 27. Life members are active in ASRT; have maintained continuous membership for at least 30 years, and have participated in a range of volunteer activities that demonstrate dedication to the society and the radiologic technology profession.
