Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced patient-focused, academically oriented Breast Surgeon within the Division of Surgery to develop all components of breast surgical oncology including outstanding clinical care, scholarship to include clinical and other research, and continuing/graduate medical education. Baptist MD Anderson provides comprehensive, integrated oncology services in partnership with the nation's leading cancer center, MD Anderson Cancer Center. Baptist Health in Jacksonville is one of three unique health systems in the United States to be chosen to replicate MD Anderson's multidisciplinary and proven model and philosophy of care, including clinical integration with clinical trials, all designed to ensure validated quality care for the cancer patient.
The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to establish an active clinical practice of breast surgery, and develop areas of productive scholarship. Fellowship training in breast surgical oncology is required. S/he will possess excellent clinical and communication skills, work collaboratively with like-minded individuals, and have the support necessary to build a sustainable and renewable breast surgery surgical service.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to multidisciplinary oncology care, a level of achievement to warrant appointment at an appropriate academic rank at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and a record of clinical and academic accomplishment.
