About Me

My philosophy of care is simple: I treat every patient like a close, family relative. Patients always come first. Each patient is unique and by incorporating their beliefs and perspectives, I can empower them with the appropriate medical knowledge to make the best decisions. A well-informed patient is the best patient and it is my goal to achieve a successful and healthy, disease-free, partnership together.

I lead the Colorectal Surgery division at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. It is my personal belief that all patients deserve the best personalized, individualized, and expert care for their colorectal cancers and inflammatory bowel diseases. By focusing on these conditions at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, we are able to provide the most up-to-date and cutting-edge care you can receive anywhere – right here in Northeast Florida!

I’ve lived in Jacksonville since 2008, and frequently volunteer my time and resources to benefit charities in our local community. My wife and our two sons also enjoy swimming, hiking, boating, biking, and the tremendous sense of community with our neighborhood and friends.
