From the Doctor:
I believe in respectful, evidence-based, collaborative care. At least half of all health conditions have a preventable component, but only a small number of people see their health professional for preventive services. I am particularly interested in the preventive potential for diagnosing and treating people for vitamin D deficiency.
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, and come from a very close and loving family of five. My father is a retired family physician, and I enjoyed having a partnership with him for 16 years before he retired.
My wife, Christine, and I do not have children, but we have two Frisbee Dog Athletes. “Valkyrie” is an Australian Shepherd and “Nova” is a rescued Catahoula Leopard. Christine competes with them in various tournaments. We have 5 cats that have been rescued and rehabbed. We are also caretakers for a colony of “community cats” that have been trapped, neutered and released. I love surfing, snowboarding, hiking and fishing but my main passion is the fast growing sport of Disc Golf. I play in several professional tournaments yearly throughout our wonderful State. Christine is an amazing massage therapist / fitness instructor and I share her passion for pursuing health and happiness.
