About Me

After experiencing a highly diverse and rewarding medical career in the United States Navy, I was fortunate to have served at NAS Jacksonville during one of my early tours. It introduced me to Jacksonville’s vibrant, family-oriented community that offers numerous outdoor activities and sports-related events. I now enjoy this area with family and friends and routinely spend my time playing tennis and enjoying water-related activities. You may also find me cheering for my alma mater, Florida State University, and of course the Jaguars.

Throughout my military career, I was engaged with optimizing the health of active-duty members and was often responsible for taking care of dependent family members when the active-duty member was deployed. This led to a philosophy of care that focused on a patient-centered collaborative approach. This means engaging with each patient to identify the numerous factors influencing their overall health; educating them on their particular problem; and together determining the best individual treatment plan to improve their health and well-being.

When not taking care of patients locally, it has been a great privilege to participate in various humanitarian medical trips to Honduras and Ethiopia. It was extremely rewarding to improve the hearing health of so many individuals who otherwise would not be able to receive advanced surgical and audiological care. It was equally important to mentor the local physicians and resident surgeons on how to continue providing these surgical treatments for future generations. I am looking forward to similar opportunities in the future.
