Lung, Chest & Throat Cancer
If you or a loved one has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer, esophageal (throat) cancer or a chest tumor, the region’s cancer experts at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center can help. Our experienced physicians and specialists offer you hope through compassionate care and advanced treatments.
Our experts use cutting-edge technology to precisely diagnose the type and stage of your cancer. We offer the latest advanced treatment options, including clinical trial therapies.
We treat all types and stages of lung cancer, chest tumors and esophageal throat cancer, including:
- Carcinoid tumors
- Chest wall tumors
- Esophageal (throat) cancer
- Large cell carcinoma
- Rare lung tumors
- Squamous cell carcinoma
- Small cell lung cancer
Our patients benefit from an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach. That means your case is discussed in detail at regularly scheduled conferences attended by all treating physicians and other healthcare professionals. You will also meet with your team of doctors and support staff in one location, reducing the need to travel to several facilities. A nurse navigator will also be assigned to you and guide you through every step of the way to offer education, coordinate appointments, tests and treatments, and offer you and your family support.
Your physical, emotional and spiritual needs are important, too, so care plans include support services from social workers, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists and chaplains, as well as survivorship services and prevention.
The lung, chest and throat cancer team at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center has specialized education, training and experience in cancer care and includes experts in many specialties.
