Courtney is a native of Cove City, North Carolina, currently residing in Jacksonville, Florida. She is the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education and an ACPE Certified Educator Candidate at Baptist Health. In her role, she provides education for ministers aspiring to be professional chaplains, as well as continuing education for area clergy. Her passion for teaching is rooted in the potential for education to be transformative.

Before becoming a chaplain, Courtney honorably served 14 years in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves. After military service, she employed her leadership skills in several corporate markets. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Chaplaincy from Regent University. Courtney is a Therapeutic Art Life Coach and uses art as a spiritually healing medium.

Courtney is ordained by the Rivers of Life Christian Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and The Evangelical Church Alliance International. Her career is guided by her dedication to “a life of service that fosters hope, spurs creativity, encourages growth, and develops leaders.”
