Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Specialized care of chronic and non-healing wounds in Jacksonville.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been shown to enhance the healing process. It is used in addition to, not a replacement for, other therapies.

How does it work?

Oxygen has a very important role in healing, and hyperbaric therapy delivers high levels of it to the bloodstream in a pressurized environment. This delivers more oxygen to the wounded tissue, and stimulates new vascular growth. Chronic conditions and non-healing wounds may need multiple therapy sessions.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is provided as an outpatient service. The patient enters an enclosed chamber and breathes 100 percent oxygen at greater than atmospheric pressure for a specific period of time.
