About Me
My philosophy of care is centered on the patient, based on education, encouragement and understanding. I feel that it is important to educate my patients about their conditions and options, thus allowing them to make informed decisions. I take the time to engage my patients in their own care, and I firmly believe this helps them make better decisions.
I recognize the emotions associated with illness. When treating my patients, it is sometimes at their most frightening moment. The surgeries I perform can make an immediate and long-term difference in my patients' lives and the lives of their families. I love proving that what was once thought impossible can be done.
I believe that fast access to excellent care is critical for treatment of stroke and other cerebrovascular conditions, and that's why I enjoy being a part of the team at Lyerly Neurosurgery and Baptist Health.
