Denver Mitchell serves as executive vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO) for Baptist Health, where she leads the health system's human resources strategy, workforce planning, talent development, team member engagement, total rewards and HR operations. She is responsible for advancing people and culture initiatives that support Baptist Health's mission, growth and commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Mitchell has more than 20 years of HR leadership experience in health care. Prior to joining Baptist Health, she served as SVP and CHRO for Cape Fear Valley Health System and previously held executive HR leadership roles with St. Mary's Medical Center and Hospital Corporation of America.

Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The University of Alabama and holds the Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential. She is also pursuing a Master of Business Administration through Fayetteville State University.

Outside of Baptist Health, Mitchell is active in organizations supporting health care workforce development, leadership advancement and workforce readiness initiatives.
