Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Laboratory Clinical Supervisor for our Freestanding EDs located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full Time position working day shift hours and hours could vary dependent upon the departmental needs within the system. This position floats between FSED locations to support oversight and laboratory operations

As a Clinical Lab Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Directs daily clinical laboratory operations, workflow, and quality assurance across multiple freestanding emergency department locations, ensuring continuous coverage and rapid-response diagnostic testing.
• Oversees high-complexity STAT laboratory testing, point-of-care testing, hematology, chemistry, and blood bank procedures to support urgent and emergency patient throughput.
• Ensures full compliance with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards across all float coverage sites, managing proficiency testing, equipment validation, and site audit preparedness.
• Monitors instrument calibration, quality control logs, and turnaround times, providing on-site clinical guidance, technical troubleshooting, and competency evaluations for laboratory staff.
• Collaborates closely with freestanding ED medical directors, emergency physicians, and nursing leadership to optimize critical value reporting, streamline STAT lab workflows, and champion patient safety.

Clinical Lab Supervisor, Freestanding ED Float, Experience;

• Histology Laboratory Experience (5+ Years)
• Medical Technologist Experience (5+ Years)
• Progressive Management Experience

Clinical Lab Supervisor, Freestanding ED Float, Education;

• Bachelor's Degree required.

Clinical Lab Supervisor, Freestanding ED Float, Certifications;

• Lab Supervisor license required.
