Baptist Beaches is one of only 12 hospitals in the country to earn 15 consecutive ‘A’s’ for patient safety

The hospital has consistently achieved top marks in The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade ratings for the past seven years.

Jacksonville, FL.

Baptist Medical Center Beaches has once again earned the highest rating for safety, quality and transparency from The Leapfrog Group, placing it among the top-performing hospitals in the country for patient safety. This is the 15th consecutive “A” hospital safety grade for Baptist Beaches, an achievement shared by just 12 other hospitals in the U.S. This milestone reaffirms the hospital’s position as a trusted leader in providing safe, reliable health care to Northeast Florida’s coastal communities.

Baptist Beaches is designated as a “Straight A” institution, a distinction awarded for maintaining an “A” grade across five or more consecutive grading periods.

“Earning a 15th ‘A’ grade reflects the discipline, accountability and teamwork our clinicians bring to patient safety every day,” said Jarret Dreicer, FACHE, MHA, MS, hospital president of Baptist Beaches. “Our community has a choice in where they receive care, and we are proud to consistently earn their trust.”

The Leapfrog Group is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping consumers make informed choices in their health care. It assigns letter grades based on national, evidence-based outcomes and process measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), combined with additional data submitted by hospitals. The program is peer-reviewed, transparent and free to the public.

“Every patient deserves safe, high-quality care,” said Jeremy Goodman, MD, MBA, FACHE, senior vice president and system quality officer at Baptist Health. “We remain focused on continuously improving and strengthening safety across every step of the patient journey.”

Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades for adult hospitals are released twice a year, in May and November, with around 3,000 general acute-care hospitals across the U.S. receiving a rating.

Rankings for pediatric hospitals across the U.S, including Wolfson Children’s Hospital, are released annually in December. In 2025, Wolfson Children’s Hospital was named one of fifteen Top Children’s Hospitals nationwide for the third year in a row.
