Obaidullah Ahmed, MD, has practiced family medicine for more than 20 years, including 13 years as a staff physician at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, where he was also an associate faculty member in the family medicine residency program. Dr. Ahmed enjoys the diversity that family medicine provides and tailors his care to the needs of each specific patient. His areas of interest include:

Acerca de Yo

I am lucky to have called Jacksonville home for more than 15 years. My wife and I are blessed with two beautiful daughters, one wonderful son and two loving cats. As a family, we enjoy traveling, gardening and the outdoors. In my free time, I like to volunteer with a community center clinic.

I believe in listening to the patient because I feel that showing empathy is half the cure. Patients are the centerpiece of my practice and taking time to involve them in their individual care plan is essential to building mutual trust. As a physician, I treat my patients the way I want to be treated: with dignity, compassion and commitment. There can be no higher privilege than a person entrusting his or her own health and well-being to another.

As a former staff physician for the Navy and the VA, I have been fortunate to be entrusted with the various health needs of our active-duty and retired veterans and their families, and it’s been my honor to serve those who serve our nation.
