Maternity Suite Tours

Baptist Health offers a complimentary tour of our maternity suites for expectant parents delivering at our Jacksonville, South or Beaches locations. Each person attending the tour must pre-register below. Children 6 and older are welcome. The tour includes the option to pre-register for your hospital stay. If you would like to pre-register, please bring your insurance card with you.

Maternity Classes and Workshops

Preparing for a new baby is a special time. Baptist Health Women's Services would like to enhance this positive experience by offering a variety of childbirth and other classes to inform ans support you and your family.

Obstetric Care for High Risk Conditions

Sometimes expectant mothers and infants need specialized care to address complex illnesses during pregnancy and childbirth. We offer diagnostic testing, fetal assessment, monitoring, perinatal care, prenatal counseling and postnatal care planning. The high-risk obstetricians at Baptist are experienced in caring for expectant mothers experiencing:

  • Multitple Pregnancy

  • Preeclampsia

  • Kidney disease

  • Fetal conditions

  • Thyroid conditions

  • Rh disease

Highest Level of Care for Newborns

You can have peace of mind that your baby's birth is surrounded by the region's highest level of care for newborns. Wolfson Children's Hospital, our pediatric hospital serving North Florida and South Georgia, offers a Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit, with a wide range of specialists Children's also operates a Level III NICU at Baptist Medical Center South.

Babies born prematurely at any hospital in our region can be transferred to our NICUs by ground ambulance, our Kids Kare pediatric ambulances, or our Life Flight air ambulance service, specially equipped for newborn care.
