The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) measures and enhances the care of surgical patients. Baptist Medical Center South was recognized as a meritorious hospital for all surgical cases as well as high risk cases. Baptist South is one of only 46 hospitals nationwide to achieve the distinction of being recognized in both categories. Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville was recognized as a Surgical Quality Partner, having demonstrated a year of commitment to ACS NSQIP. Wolfson Children’s Hospital was recognized as a Surgical Quality Partner in both the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program – Pediatric and the Trauma Quality Improvement Program for demonstrating a year of commitment to each program.

Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital were recognized as a designated Clinical Center by the Angioma Alliance for the treatment of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM) in both adults and children. Wolfson Children’s is the first children’s hospital in Florida to receive this designation and the only pediatric hospital in the southeast. Baptist Health is the only designated CCM Clinical Center in the Northeast Florida region.

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center’s radiation oncology clinics downtown and at Baptist South are accredited by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) through APEx - Accreditation Program for Excellence. This accreditation reflects our strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality radiation oncology services to our patients.

A designation awarded to Baptist's breast imaging centers by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for achieving excellence in improving women's health.

The Baptist Center for Bariatric Surgery holds this distinction from Florida Blue for demonstrating quality care, treatment expertise, patient safety and better health outcomes.

Each year, the Best of Bold City Community Choice Awards allows the Jacksonville community to nominate and vote for local companies in more than 160 categories. This year, Baptist Health received Best Medical Center, Best Family Practice and Best Pediatrics Clinic.

The wound care centers at Baptist Jacksonville, Baptist Nassau and Baptist South hold the 2022 Center of Distinction award from Healogics, Inc. for achieving outstanding clinical outcomes.

Baptist Jacksonville is a nationally designated Center of Excellence for obstetric anesthesia care by the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology (SOAP). The Stroke & Cerebrovascular Center at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is a Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center providing the critical elements to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes for stroke patients.

The Chartis Center for Rural Health awarded Baptist Medical Center Nassau a 2023 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in outcomes. Baptist Medical Center Nassau is Florida’s only nationally ranked rural community hospital.

Baptist Health Jacksonville was named one of Florida's best employers by Forbes magazine. In its annual "America's Best Employers by State 2021" list, Baptist Health ranked No. 1 among all ranked employers in Jacksonville in any industry, and No. 10 among all 100 ranked companies in Florida. Baptist also ranked No. 3 among all ranked health care providers in the state, and was the only North Florida health care provider among the top three.

Ambulatory Surgery at Baptist Medical Center Nassau and the Baptist Emergency Centers at Town Center and Oakleaf were recipients of Guardian of Excellence Awards® for Patient Experience by Press Ganey, the national leader in health care consumer and workforce engagement. The Guardian of Excellence Award honors organizations that have achieved the 95th percentile or above for performance in patient experience.

The Wolfson Children's Hospital EEG Lab was granted a five-year accreditation from the Laboratory Accreditation Board of ABRET (LAB-EEG). This is given to EEG Labs for meeting technical standards and demonstrating quality output.

All Baptist Health hospitals received the LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader status for 2022, demonstrating the health system’s continued commitment to fostering an environment that prioritizes inclusion for team members, patients and families.

The designation was awarded by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) in its biennial Healthcare Equality Index (HEI) survey, a national benchmarking tool that evaluates our policies related to equity and inclusion of LGBTQ+ patients, visitors and team members.

Baptist Health is committed to being a leader in this area and on the annual HEI index, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

This is a national distinction recognizing hospitals for providing the highest level of quality and safety for patients. Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center South, Baptist Medical Center Beaches and Baptist Medical Center Nassau all received an “A” Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade for 2023. Wolfson Children’s Hospital was named one of only 8 Top Children’s Hospitals in the country and one of only 3 in the State of Florida for 2023.

Magnet designation is granted by The American Nurses Credentialing Center and reflects Baptist Health’s overall excellence in patient care. Baptist is committed to providing outstanding quality care to patients and the community with nursing excellence at the core.

All Baptist Health MRIs are certified by the American College of Radiology. The MRI Accreditation Program evaluates staff qualifications, quality control, MR safety policies and image quality.

Baptist's bariatric surgical center is accredited based on a rigorous review process proving it maintains certain physical resources, human resources and standards of practice.

Baptist Medical Center Beaches is a recipient of the Pinnacle of of Excellence Award® for patient experience by Press Ganey, the national leader in health care consumer and workforce engagement. The Pinnacle of Excellence Award recognizes hospitals that have maintained the highest performance in patient experience for three years. This honor was awarded to Outpatient Services and Ambulatory Surgery at Baptist Medical Center Beaches.

The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Wolfson Children’s Hospital holds the Silver-Level Beacon Award for Excellence. Provided by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, it signifies an effective approach to policies, procedures and processes that includes engagement of staff and key stakeholders.

U.S. News & World Report recognizes hospitals for their high performance in care across a range of procedures, conditions and specialties.

Baptist Beaches received the high performing hospital distinction for 7 procedures and conditions (uterine cancer surgery, heart failure, kidney failure, hip fracture, COPD, pneumonia and maternity care).

Baptist Nassau received the high performing hospital distinction for 2 procedures and conditions (hip fracture and COPD).

Baptist Jacksonville and Baptist South received the high performing hospital distinction for 1 adult specialty (neurology and neurosurgery) and 10 procedures and conditions (colon cancer surgery, uterine cancer surgery, heart failure, heart attack, diabetes, kidney failure, stroke, hip replacement, knee replacement and COPD).
