Job Summary

Baptist Health wants to add a Network Plan/Architect Analyst to our Platform Engineering Services team at the Baptist IT Center. 

As a Network Plan/Architect Analyst you will manage tickets (ServiceNow) from the network support Que to insure timely fixes to network issues. In this role you will be working on network life-cycle replacement and maintenance of network systems and hardware. This role will also work to troubleshoot network and wireless issues across the organizations. This Network Plan/Architect Analyst will support network tasks across the entire Baptist organization from hospitals to stand alone clinics.

As a Network Plan/Architect Analyst you will perform the following:

  • Researches networking requirements; prepares detailed architectural and installation plans.
  • Conducts internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis. Researches problems, conducts cable and equipment installations, and evaluates new technologies.
  • Supports network architecture consultants by preparing detailed specifications and documentation from high-level designs.
  • Plans, researches, evaluates, designs and develops network systems by applying engineering, hardware and software design theories and principles to develop a compatible system infrastructure in line with organization strategies.
  • Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline.
  • Works to broaden own capabilities by continuing to build knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Performs a range of assignments using guidelines or policies. Analyzes and solves straightforward problems as they occur but typically requires guidance on complex or unusual problems. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from more experienced team members.
  • Cert Note: Arista Cloud Engineer Certification, L2 is required within 6 months of hire date.

Education Required

Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of related experience required
  • Experience configuring, patching, and installing network switches
  • Experience troubleshooting network performance issues
  • Experience with network documentation
  • Experience managing a ticking system Que (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Experience Troubleshooting wireless issues
  • Arista network experience - preferred

License and Certification

  •  Arista Cloud Engineer Certification, L2 certification is required within 6 months of hire dates - Required
    • Arista L3 Cloud Engineer - Preferred
    • Arista L5 - Preferred
