Pharmacist, Full Time, Baptist Clay

Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Pharmacist to our team at Baptist Medical Center Clay! This is a full-time opportunity working primarily days from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with some occasional evening shift coverage. This Pharmacist will also work every 4th weekend. This candidate will work at our newest campus in both a decentralized and centralized capacity. This Pharmacist will work with a team of six other Pharmacists and six Pharmacy Technicians. This Pharmacist will complete order entry and consultations, round with the interdisciplinary team, and check medications in the central pharmacy. IV room and residency experience are preferred as well as clinical experience. This candidate will train within the department for at least 2-3 weeks before operating independently. This is a great opportunity for an eager Pharmacist looking to expand their knowledge and experience within a clinical setting. A valid Pharmacist license in the State of Florida is required for hire.

As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for: 

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy before the release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics service.

Cert Note: BLS/ACLS/PALS must be obtained within 90 days of hire for those required to participate in Code Blue responses.

• 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Registered Pharmacist Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Pharmacist Required
