Job Summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Sr. Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit Team.  This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity located on the downtown Jacksonville campus of Baptist Health.   

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to develop the annual audit plan. 

  • Plan and conduct financial, operational and compliance audits to identify internal control weaknesses and process inefficiencies. 

  • Assist with the performance of the annual financial statement audit. 

  • Use root cause analysis techniques to understand why control weaknesses exist and partner with management to improve internal controls and process efficiencies. 

  • Prepare concise well written audit reports and work papers. 

  • Work with management to validate action plans are complete and identified weaknesses are corrected. 

  • Assist with training and provide oversight of staff auditors where applicable.

*Certification preferred - CIA or CPA
*Auditing Experience - 5 Years
*Healthcare Experience - 1 Year
