Job Summary

*Up to $1,000 Sign-On Bonus*

Baptist Medical Center is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Surgical Services Team for our Main Operating Room at Baptist South. The shift for this Sterile Processing Tech is 3-11p and call is required.

As a Sterile Processing Tech, your responsibilities include:

• Understand principles of sterilization.
• Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
• Able to prioritize duties.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
• Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays

Sterile Processing Technician - Education and Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Certified Sterille Processing Techncian (preferred - not required)
• 1-2 years Instrument Experience
• Knowledge of Regulatory Protocols
• Certification Note: Required certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Experience

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
• Linen Processing Experience
• Knowledge of regulatory protocols.

License and Certification

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). Required Or
• Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required Or
