About Me

I grew up Wauseon, Ohio (30 minutes west of Toledo), where my father was one of six primary care doctors for the entire county. He taught me that being a good doctor isn't about “fixing” problems, it’s about taking the time with each patient as if they are family.

I have a “glass half full” approach to my patients’ health. I encourage patients to take charge of their health. With good communication, a good medical history, and a very detailed exam I work with patients to develop a plan of care that they understand and is tailored to their specific needs. My wife is from the Jacksonville area, and we moved back to Jacksonville in 2009. We are proud parents of two daughters and one son.

Outside of medicine, I spend my time being a father to my very active and athletic children. From travel sports to traveling around the world with my family, I balance my work and family life. My wife and I find time to stay active and fit. I love the Chicago Cubs, Northwestern University athletics and the Chicago Bears. I am officially a transplant Jaguars fan. I have been 2-time President of the Duval County Medical Society, current Chief of staff of Baptist Beaches Hospital, and President of the Duval County Medical Society Foundation. I am involved with teaching medical students and engage with many medical and community organizations.
