Katie is always an attentive listener, offering understanding and encouragement along with sound reasoning on how to negotiate my current issues. My husband commented that I always feel better when I leave her office. I also always have a different perspective on how to approach my concerns. The receptionist and office staff are welcoming and helpful. And the office atmosphere is welcoming and calming.

My counselor had helped me handle some challenging issues. She is always just a call to the office to talk to me. My husband and I are both going thru somedifficult medical problems, it helps knowing that she will help me find a way to get thru these things. She knows how to treat my OCD/BDD, cancer and relocation situaations. She has really helped me deal with so many concerns and it would be difficult not having her to guide me thru all the difficult times. I count on our sessions. Thanks to Baptist Behavior Health.

The office staff and therapist were welcoming and quickly put me at ease. I never felt stressed, and I felt that my concerns were heard and addressed. The therapist was easy to talk with and had a sense of humor, which I value. I also felt that she was honest with me and that I could trust her. I appreciated her insights and I look forward to more sessions.

Scheduling is very difficult. Having to wait 10 months to see a psychiatrist is a little excessive. With that being said, the receptionist should offer other options or: different doctor, different location. But they don???t.

The two professionals I see: Katie Mahon & Anneline Kingsley. Both are excellent. Far and away the most constructive and one target help I???ve ever received from any mental health care professional. Also, lately (last 6-12 months) have noticed an improvement with the office staff at the BBH main call center. Definitely seem more patient sensitive now. Sadly this was not always the case, but there is a terrific improvement now! Thank you. Only one negative comment???. Pamela, at Dr. Kingsley???s office, still has a problem with her message delivery style. She seems to very much enjoy making patients feel guilty/weak/shameful when requesting controlled substance medication refills that can arise between regularly scheduled appointments or over an extended holiday break???. This doesn???t happen often, but when it has happened to me, my experience has been one of feeling like I am asking for something I shouldn???t be. (I do understand the necessity of caution with refill request for certain drug classifications. However, it is possible to field these calls without shaming the patient. Other BBH employees have handled the same kind of situation professionally and with grace.) I hope that she can grasp the notion that abuse of some controlled substances does exist, but not every patient that finds themselves requesting a refill is an abuser. Legitimate requests do occur. Based on her style of interaction versus that other BBH employees responding to the same types of requests, I would guess that Pamela is probably a long-time employee who has remained in the same role for many years. She seems yo have plenty of time for extemporaneous lectures and extended questioning of the patient???s needs. All she needs to do is verify the proper refill interval and take the patient???s information. She can then forward the issue to the physician, since Pamela is not a physician. If a patient arouses so much suspicion, she should escalate the call to the licensed prescriber. Perhaps she could benefit from a position rotation or learning new and different skills that don???t require patient interaction. I have personally gone without requesting meds despite an anticipated need which has been documented by Dr. Kingsley (during her vacation or illness, for example) to avoid one of Pamela???s grillings. For any BBH employee to have this effect on a patient is just not right and potentially dangerous considering the possible effects of stopping a medication instead of reducing a dosage, etc. I have always verified my own pharmacy medication records before I have needed to make any kind of request between my regular appointments, lest experiencing one a Pamela???s lunatics interrogations. I have mentioned this issue previously, yet the behavior described above continues. I hope it can be addressed. If I am bothered enough to spend the time to write this description, I wonder how many other patients (who may be more severely depressed, anxious, easily intimidated, etc) have gone through the same experience as me and just didn???t have the will to voice their experiences? Thanks very much.

Dr Davis and Dr. Mahone have and are providing extremely efficient team care. They are also the only health care providers that I've found in Jacksonville that I feel I can fully trust and who I feel collaborates with me, not dictates to me.
