Psychology Training Program

The Baptist Health Psychology Training Program is a yearlong educational experience, consisting of supervised rotations surveying various clinical specialties in psychology.

Psychology Training Program Main Content

Our program is designed to train and equip future clinicians to provide quality mental health services in an integrative and diversified healthcare setting for a myriad of clinical roles.

Our structured program includes supervised training for PhD, PsyD, and CMHC candidates, as well as two and four-week rotations for medical, PA, and PMHNP students to meet programmatic requirements. Qualifying trainees may also receive educational credit by attending Behavioral Health Grand Rounds, which are held regularly throughout the year.

Customized education

Baptist Health promotes a welcoming atmosphere to enhance individual and professional growth by offering a series of clinical rotations, extensive supervision, and formal didactics. The program’s philosophical approach to training is student-centered, collaborative, and responsive. Consideration is given to each trainee’s individual educational goals and clinical areas of interest. There is ongoing dialogue, both informally and formally, to facilitate the accommodation of student preferences.

Comprehensive clinical experiences

Baptist Behavioral Health offers inclusive mental health care services within outpatient centers, inpatient units, day stay programs, the emergency department, and the Bridge Clinic. In this training environment, students are provided an opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations that experience a full range of mental health concerns and diagnoses. These include:
