Accredited Chest Pain Centers

As Accredited Chest Pain Centers, Baptist Health's protocol-driven approach to heart care allows us to reduce time-to-treatment during the critical first stages of a heart attack.

Our average “door-to-balloon time” exceeds the national standard due to evidence-based practices and our highly coordinated team. It measures the time from when a patient arrives at the hospital with chest pain, to when the patient enters our catheterization lab for balloon angioplasty to open blocked arteries.

  • EMS personnel use specialized communication tools to transmit vital information about the patients' condition to our emergency centers.
  • Quick transport to Baptist Heart Hospital's Catheterization Lab, where our specialized team is pre-assembled and ready as the patient arrives.
