Sarah Sanders Biography and Information

Sarah Sanders, MBA, has more than 20 years of experience leading marketing and communications functions in academic medical and health care environments. She joined Baptist Health in 2025 as executive vice president and chief consumer officer (CCO).
In this role, Sarah leads all marketing, communications, digital strategy, advertising, community impact and engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening the connection between the health system and the communities it serves. She is the driving force behind Baptist Health’s brand vision and consumer experience strategy, ensuring that our health system remains a trusted, community-focused and patient-centered market leader and that our services are accessible, personalized and aligned with consumer expectations and our mission.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Sarah served as vice president, chief marketing and communications officer at University of California, San Francisco/UCSF Health, a top 10, regional academic health system with seven hospitals. There, she oversaw consumer and stakeholder engagement strategies to support UCSF Health’s 2030 strategic vision and designed and implemented initiatives to establish UCSF as the top choice for the most advanced care. She previously led marketing and communications strategies for Nemours Children’s Health, which provides pediatric physician services at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the Roy H. Parks School of Communications at Ithaca College and her Master of Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology. She is a member of the Health Care Executive Forum and the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development.
