Job Summary

Baptist Corporate Health is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.

The ideal candidate is expected to have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an acute care, outpatient clinic or occupational health setting. The APP will have the opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment providing annual, fit-for-duty, and pre-employment physicals for corporate clients.The provider must be comfortable with women’s and men’s health, acute and chronic patients, patient follow-up, determining ability to perform job requirements and comprehensive wellness exams. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency with EMR, excellent oral/written communication skills and building rapport with patients. Knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) guidelines and/or experience conducting fit-for-duty or DOT physicals strongly preferred.

Provider will work 1-2 days per week on average. There is some flexibility with scheduling. Candidate must be willing to travel locally to the Baptist Nassau, Baptist Clay and Baptist South campuses.

QUALIFICATIONS• Certified ARNP, NP or PA• Licensed ARNP, NP or PA• Active/unrestricted state license in good standing• No current or pending malpractice lawsuits• Ability to make sound medical decisions based on a comprehensive evaluation• Experience providing pre-employment physicals• BLS Certification

RESPONSIBILITIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED• Obtains detailed history and performs physical examinations• Orders x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures – interprets results and makes recommendations• Strong assessment, organizational and problem-solving skill as evidenced by capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components• Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team and patients• Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) guidelines and ability to reference the guidelines when determining fit-for-duty clearance• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles
