Job Summary
Baptist Primary Care is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient Endocrinology practice in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, Florida.
This full-time opportunity allows you to build meaningful relationships with patients while helping them manage diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions. You will work alongside an experienced physician and clinical team to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on improving patients’ health and quality of life.

Your Role
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic endocrine conditions
- Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the physician
- Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory testing
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the applicable scope of practice
- Educate patients and families about medications, lifestyle changes, and disease management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Provide care in accordance with Baptist Primary Care protocols and applicable professional standards
What You Will Need
Nurse Practitioner Candidates
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current national Nurse Practitioner certification
- Family Nurse Practitioner certification preferred
Physician Assistant Candidates
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Florida Physician Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current NCCPA certification
All Candidates
- Experience in family practice, primary care, or a related outpatient setting
- Endocrinology or diabetes-management experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and patient-education abilities
- Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care
