Baptist Health is hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager to join our Emergency Department team at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time night shift opportunity.
The Pediatric ED provides specialized emergency care for infants, children, and adolescents. This role is ideal for nurses passionate about pediatric care in a fast-paced, family-centered environment.
Assistant Nurse Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the direct care staff during their shift to deliver quality patient care
- Is an expert clinical resource
- Facilitates the admission, transfer and discharge flow
- Takes a lead role in implementing changes
- Supports and coaches staff development
- Makes shift to shift patient care assignments
- Takes a direct patient care assignment as needed.
Assistant Nurse Manager Experience:
- 3–5 years Nursing Experience (required)
- Medical Surgical and Telemetry Experience (required)
- Leadership and Charge Nurse Experience (required)
Assistant Nurse Manager Education & Credential Requirements:
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
