Job Summary

Baptist Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Unit Coordinator to join our ICU, PCU and Med-Surg team.Full Time position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm This is a located at Baptist Medical Center Clay in Fleming Island, FL.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). The Certified Nursing Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse (RN) with the care of patients who have healthcare needs including:

Additional Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting on the unit
• Ordering, filing, auditing
• Discharge call-backs with patients
• Maintaining a safe environment for patients
• Collecting lab specimens
• Intake and output monitoring
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Answering call lights and telephones promptly
• Ordering inventory of unit supplies and equipment
• Maintaining patient chart folders
• Greeting and assisting all customers while adhering to service excellence principles
• Maintaining a neat and orderly nursing station
• Payroll functions
• Clerical duties

License: BLS Required (AHA) & CNA

Education Required

None

Education Preferred

High School Diploma/GED

Experience

• Experience in a Healthcare Setting preferred
• 1-2 years of administrative experience preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred

License and Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant Required
