Job Summary
Director, Critical Care, Orthopedics/Medical Surgical, Baptist Downtown, Job Responsibility:
- Responsible for the overall supervision, delivery, and quality of nursing care within the assigned departments
- Provides leadership for clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
- Oversees the selection, training, performance management, and discipline of all nursing personnel
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels and resource allocation to meet patient care needs
- Manages departmental budgets, supplies, and equipment procurement, ensuring cost-effective operations
- Drives quality improvement initiatives, patient safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to support operational and strategic goals
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive clinical experience required
- Progressive leadership/management experience required
Education and Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
