Job Summary

Director, Critical Care, Orthopedics/Medical Surgical, Baptist Downtown, Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the overall supervision, delivery, and quality of nursing care within the assigned departments
  • Provides leadership for clinical operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
  • Oversees the selection, training, performance management, and discipline of all nursing personnel
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels and resource allocation to meet patient care needs
  • Manages departmental budgets, supplies, and equipment procurement, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Drives quality improvement initiatives, patient safety standards, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to support operational and strategic goals

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive clinical experience required
  • Progressive leadership/management experience required

Education and Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
